Mentions, points, and hashtags while you speak

While you're recording, Bonusly can also look for things like:

- @mentions (people you want to recognize)

- +points

- #hashtags

You'll see small indicators in the recording modal when Bonusly detects these.

Review, re-record, and attach

After you stop recording:

  • Use Play/Pause to preview your audio

  • Click Re-record if you want to try again

  • Optionally edit the pull quote (the short highlighted text shown with your audio)

  • Click Attach to Recognition to add the audio to your post

Review state with Play button + quote + Attach to Recognition

Auto-populating your post (optional)

When Auto-populate is on, Bonusly can suggest recognition text based on what you recorded. You can always edit the post before sending.

If your recording is still uploading or processing, you may see an "Uploading your recording..." message while it finishes.

After you post

Your recognition post will include an audio player. If captions/transcript are available, they may show up after processing completes.

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see the Record audio button Audio recognition may not be available for your account yet. If you think you should have access, reach out to your admin or Bonusly Support. Admins can enable/disable in company settings.

  • My browser won't let me record - Make sure Bonusly has permission to use your microphone in your browser settings, then try again.

  • My upload failed - Try again on a stable connection. If the problem keeps happening, copy any error message you see and send it to Bonusly Support.
