You signed up for Bonusly because you want your team to work better together. Here's how to start seeing that happen -- no setup required.
Give your first recognition
The fastest way to experience Bonusly is to recognize someone. Pick a colleague who did something you appreciated recently and tell them about it. It takes about 30 seconds, and you can do it right from your Bonusly home page.
Not sure what to say? Keep it specific: what they did, why it mattered, and which company value it connects to. That's it.
If you're the only person in your account so far, that's fine -- invite one colleague you work closely with and try it together.
Invite your team
Recognition is social -- it gets better with more people. You don't need to roll Bonusly out to your whole company right away. Start with a few people you work closely with.
Share an invite link or add them by email. Once they're in, they'll get their own monthly allowance and can start recognizing people too. Adoption tends to grow on its own from there -- when people see recognition happening, they want to join in.
Try a 1:1
If you have regular 1:1 meetings, connect your calendar and try running one through Bonusly. You'll walk in more prepared, stay more focused, and walk out with a summary of what you discussed -- without taking notes yourself.
Bonusly 1:1s include smart agendas, shared notes, transcription, and AI-generated summaries. Each meeting builds on the last, so over time you have a complete picture of how things are going.
You can also use pulse checks to get a quick read on how your team is feeling week to week -- no setup required.
Make it yours
Bonusly comes pre-configured with sensible defaults, so everything works out of the box. When you're ready, you can customize:
Company values -- Add your organization's values so people can tag them in recognition.
Celebrations -- Birthdays, work anniversaries, and new hire start dates are already on by default. You can adjust what gets celebrated and when.
Rewards -- Your team can redeem points for gift cards and charitable donations from the built-in catalog. You can also create custom rewards like extra PTO, company gear, or a team lunch.
Integrations -- Connect Slack or Microsoft Teams so your team can give and receive recognition without leaving their daily workflow.
None of this is required to get value from Bonusly. It's there when you want it.
Common questions

Do I pay for the points people give? No. You only pay when someone redeems their points for a reward. Giving recognition is free.
Do points expire? Points people earn through recognition never expire. They can redeem whenever they're ready.
How do I get help? You can ask Bizy, the AI assistant built into Bonusly, or reach out to [email protected] any time.
