Whether you want to thank a teammate for their help, celebrate a colleague's achievement, or show your gratitude to someone outside your organization, Bonusly makes it easy to turn your points into a thoughtful gift.

You can use your redeemable points to purchase gift cards or physical items to send a gift to someone else.


Gift cards

Gift cards are perfect when you want to give someone the freedom to choose exactly what they want. Here's how to send one:

  1. Find a gift card you'd like to give. Browse the rewards catalog and select any gift card that fits what you have in mind.

  2. Indicate it’s a gift. On the reward detail page, check the box that says "This is a gift for someone else"

  3. Enter recipient information. Provide your recipient's email address. You can send gift cards to anyone—teammates, friends, or family members—even if they don't have a Bonusly account.

  4. Add a personal message. Include a note that explains why you're sending this gift. A few thoughtful words can make your gift feel even more meaningful.

  5. Complete your redemption. Review the details and claim the gift card.

FAQs

Can I give a PayPal gift?

Yes, but make sure the recipient email address you enter is the same email address that's linked to their PayPal account. Learn more about the PayPal reward.


Curated gifts

Curated gifts add a personal touch that lasts. These are thoughtfully selected physical items—from premium headphones to cozy blankets to artisan coffee sets—that arrive at your recipient's door and become part of their daily life. It's recognition they can hold onto.

How to send a curated gift

  1. Find a physical item you’d like to give. Filter by the curated gift reward type or use categories to find something that feels right. Check out collections for physical items designed for peer gifting.

  2. Indicate it’s a gift. On the reward detail page, check the box that says "This is a gift for someone else."

  3. Provide recipient details. On the next screen, enter the recipient's first name and email address. Include a message that explains why you chose this gift. Like gift cards, you can send curated gifts to anyone—inside or outside your organization.

  4. Review gift terms. Curated gifts have an expiration date—recipients need to claim their gift within the timeframe shown. Make sure you're comfortable with the terms before sending.

  5. Confirm and send. Review the recipient information and send your gift.

  6. Track your gift. After you send it, you can check the status of your gift from your personal redemption history. Gift status will only update once the recipient has claimed their gift.

How gift recipients claim their curated gift

When you send someone a curated gift, here's what happens:

  1. They get an email. Recipients receive a Bonusly-branded email from Snappy, our curated gift partner, letting them know a gift is waiting for them. If they can't find the email, tell them to look in their Promotions inbox or search for "Snappy".

  2. They unwrap the gift. The email directs them to an "unwrapping" experience that reveals the gift you selected for them.

  3. They choose what they want. Recipients can keep the gift you picked or wait until the item expires to receive a dining card for the full value. If the item becomes unavailable, your recipient should reach out to Snappy support.

  4. They provide shipping details. Once they've made their choice, they'll enter their shipping information.

  5. They receive confirmation and tracking. Recipients get an email confirming their selection with tracking information so they know when to expect their gift.

FAQs

Can I send a curated gift to someone who lives in a different country from me?

Snappy ships to 170+ countries. We recommend that you send gifts to someone who lives in the same country as you, so that you can be sure the item you chose is available in that destination. Verify your listed country by visiting profile settings.

Do curated gifts expire if they’re not claimed within a certain amount of time?

Curated gifts expire by 60 days after the gift is sent. If a recipient doesn’t select a gift in that timeframe, they will receive a Snappy dining gift card for the full gift value.

Will points be refunded to me if my recipient doesn't claim their gift?

No, points will not be refunded.

There are other types of rewards in the Bonusly catalog that you may want to gift. Here’s more information:

Can I gift a donation?

No. However, you can choose to donate your points to over 60 different charities. If you want to donate on behalf of someone else, you could send them a message with your donation amount, reference number, and a bit about why you donated in honor of them.

Can I gift company swag?

Yes, if your company offers branded items through an Axomo integration. If the Axomo integration is set up, there will be a “Company swag” collection in the catalog for you to browse. When you’re redirected to Axomo, simply provide the shipping address where you want the swag to be sent during checkout.

For swag items in the “Company exclusives” collection, you can gift those items but it will differ depending on how these items are set up. You can either provide your recipient’s shipping address directly in Bonusly or give admins their address when they reach out for your shipping information.
