Welcome to the New Bonusly Layout!
We’ve updated the Bonusly homepage to make recognizing peers, tracking goals, asking for advice, and navigating your workspace even easier.
We’ve moved from a top navigation bar to a streamlined left sidebar, refreshed the "Give" box, and updated how you filter your feeds. Here is everything you need to know to find your way around.
The Refreshed "Give" Box
The box at the top of your feed where you type your recognition has a new look. Buttons here update dynamically based on what you are trying to do (Recognize, Check-in, Get advice, Add Goal, etc.)
Admins & Managers: You will see additional options like "Announce" or "Award" if you have those permissions.
The Right Sidebar
We have moved the Team Tracker (upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries) to the right sidebar. This ensures you can see these important celebrations regardless of which feed you are currently viewing.
The New Left Navigation Bar
Say goodbye to the top bar and hello to your new command center on the left side of the screen. This new sidebar organizes your tools more logically so you can get where you need to go faster.
Top Level Links
These are your daily essentials. Depending on your role, you will see links like:
Home: Your main dashboard.
1:1s & Goals: Manage your performance and alignment.
Rewards: Go here to redeem those hard-earned points!
Recaps: Review your history.
Note for Managers: If you lead a team, you will see a dedicated "Your Team" section in this list, giving you quick access to Pulse results, Team reports, and your Team view.
The "Create New..." Button
Located prominently in the sidebar, this is your launchpad. Clicking this button opens a menu of actions available to you. Depending on your permissions, you can use this to:
Send Recognition (The classic shout-out!)
Check-in with your manager.
Create a Goal.
Nominate a peer or send an Award.
Make an Announcement (Admins only).
The "More" Menu
Looking for Leaderboards, Incentives, or Advice? These features are now tucked neatly into the More menu within the sidebar.
User Menu (Bottom Left)
At the very bottom of the sidebar, you’ll find your user profile icon. Click here for your personal settings and support links:
Link | What it does |
Profile & Settings | Edit your profile, view bookmarks, and manage notifications. |
Help & Support | Access the Help Center, Contact Us, or check the Status Page. |
Log Out | Sign out of your account. |
Admins: The user menu is where you will access all of your admin settings.
Feed Filters & Visibility
Finding specific recognition post is now much easier. We have moved the feed filters to sit directly above the feed.
Default Feeds
You can quickly toggle between:
Relevant: Posts specifically relevant to you (if enabled for your company)
Company: The global feed of everyone's wins
Team: Posts involving your immediate team
Your Activity: A combined view of recognition you have both given and received (no more toggling between the two!)
If you are a manager, the "Team" feed is the team you manage and you will also have a default feed for everyone on your manager's team.
Customizing Your View
Adding Feeds
You can save feeds for specific departments, teams or locations via the feed dropdown.
If you do not see a team, department, or location in the "Add feed" list, it usually means one of two things: (1) its not in your company's people data in Bonusly, or (2) you already have that feed saved. Check your feed dropdown to see whats already there.
Removing Feeds
To clean up your view, simply hover over a custom feed in the dropdown and click the "X" to remove it.
When you remove a custom feed you are currently viewing, you will automatically switch you back to a default feed (so you are not left on a feed that no longer exists).
Types & Hashtags
We added a new dropdown menu to filter by specific types (like Celebrations, Awards, or Incentives) or by Hashtags (like your company core values).
Note: If a you do not have any celebrations turned on, celebrations will not show in the list. If you do not have any awards, awards will not show in the list. And if you do not have any incentives, incentives will not show in this list.
Hashtags will include all company value hashtags defined on the admin program settings page.
Pro Tip: When you click on a hashtag in a post, the feed will now automatically filter to Company and select that specific hashtag for you.
