The Performance Recap feature helps managers and employees summarize work, contributions, and growth over specific time periods. As an account administrator, you control the setup, rollout, and monitoring of recaps for your company.
Accessing the Recap Admin Page
Navigate to Admin Settings > Growth > Recap.
From here, you can publish or update the recap “review template” that powers the company-wide recap experience.
You can also view version history and adjust your review cadence for ongoing recaps.
What Admins Can Do on the Recap Page
1. Publish or Update the Recap Template
Draft or edit your company’s recap template, which defines the questions and sections managers will complete.
Publish the template when ready. Without a published template, recaps are disabled for users.
Update or restore previous versions as needed via the Version history section.
2. Control Recap Timing
Set or adjust your review cadence (e.g., quarterly).
Define the next review date to ensure managers are prompted to generate recaps at the right time.
3. Enable the End-User Experience
After publishing a template:
Managers and employees will see a Recap area in Growth or Team Management to create recap records for a selected time period.
Notifications are sent when a recap is generated.
Recaps can be viewed online, downloaded, or printed.
4. Understand Viewing and Editing Permissions
The recap generator (often the manager) can view, edit, delete, or change the visibility of a recap.
Shared (public) recaps:
The employee (subject) can view and edit.
The employee’s manager can view and edit.
Private recaps: Only the generator can see them.
Permissions are enforced in Growth and Team Management once the template is published.
5. Troubleshoot Common States
“Recaps disabled”: No template published yet. Publish one to enable the feature.
“Recap still generating”: The record is pending; viewers will be notified when complete.
“Not enough data” or “failed”: The generator can retry. If issues persist, adjust the template or expand the time period.
