It's time to start giving recognition from the comfort of your own workflow! The Microsoft Teams integration enables you to use Bonusly to give recognition within Teams. 🎉
Installation
First, make sure the Microsoft Teams integration is added and set to the proper channel. Check out our article on Activating the Microsoft Teams Integration for instructions on how to get started.
Once you've completed the integration steps, click the Bonusly icon on the left-hand sidebar to open the Bonusly app.
Giving Recognition
There are four different ways to give recognition using the Microsoft Teams Bonusly app:

Home Tab
To give recognition using the Home tab:
Click the Give recognition button.
Use the Give recognition modal to write your recognition post. Include a recipient, amount, and hashtag. When you're done, click Give recognition.
You can also click a connection's name to quickly start a recognition post for that connection.
Search bar Commands
You can also give recognition using the Microsoft Teams search bar. Just type /bonusly into the search bar and a Give recognition modal will appear. Include a recipient, amount, and hashtag. When you're done, click Give recognition.
Chat Commands
To give recognition using Microsoft Teams chat:
Open your Chat with Bonusly.
Type and send the message give in the chat window. The Bonusly bot will respond with a Give recognition message. Click Give recognition.
Use the Give recognition modal to write your recognition post. Include a recipient, amount, and hashtag. When you're done, click Give recognition.
Compose Box
Use the compose box to give recognition from anywhere in the Teams app that allows you to create or reply to a message. You can even give recognition during meetings!
To give recognition using the compose box:
Click the + icon. Then, scroll down and select the Bonusly app.
Use the Give recognition modal to write your recognition post. Include a recipient, amount, and hashtag. When you're done, click Give recognition.
Recognition in Meetings
When you add the Bonusly app to a Meeting Chat, it will post recognition notifications directly in the chat, creating a live feed. You can give recognition from the Meeting Chat by using the + chat icon.
There are two ways to add Bonusly to a Meeting chat:
Using the meeting participant menu:
Click the participant menu icon and then click Add agents and bots. Then, search for the Bonusly app and select it.
Mentioning the Bonusly bot:
In the meeting chat, locate the "Type a message" composer box.
Type @Bonusly and select the Bonusly bot.
Send it as a message
To remove the Bonusly bot from a meeting:
Click the participant menu icon.
Click the X next to the name of the bot.
Confirm that you want to remove the bot.
Recognition Feed
To view your Bonusly recognition feed:
Open the Bonusly app in Microsoft Teams and then open the Chat tab from the top of the page or the left-hand sidebar.
Select a recognition channel.
Use the Say thanks, Comment, Add on, and Give recognition buttons to reply to recognition posts or to start one of your own.
