The Values in action section on your admin dashboard answers a question that's hard to see from tag counts alone: are people living your company values, or just adding the hashtag?
For each of your company values, it shows two things side by side:
How often the value is tagged in recognition.
How often that recognition actually demonstrates the value.
Putting those together shows you where your culture is genuinely showing up, and where a value is getting lip service.
Tagged vs. demonstrated
These sound similar, but they measure different things.
Tagged — someone added the value's hashtag (for example
#customer-obsessed) to a recognition.Demonstrated — the recognition message describes something the person actually did that clearly shows that value.
A post can be tagged with a value but not demonstrate it. "Thanks for being so customer-obsessed!" is tagged but says nothing about what happened. "You stayed late to rebuild the onboarding flow after three customers got stuck" demonstrates it, whether or not the hashtag is there.
How Bizy analyzes your recognition
For every recognition tagged with one of your values, Bizy reads the message and decides whether it describes a specific action that reflects that value. Bizy looks only at the recognition text. It doesn't use anyone's identity, and it only runs on recognition that already carries the value's tag.
From that, each value gets a demonstrated rate: the percentage of its tagged recognition that Bizy found actually demonstrated it.
Reading the chart
Each value has a row with three parts:
The percentage on the left is the demonstrated rate: how much of the tagged recognition demonstrated the value.
The bar shows how often the value is tagged relative to your busiest value, and its fill shows the demonstrated rate. The color matches the value's rating (below).
The count on the right is how many recognitions were tagged with that value.
The section always reflects the previous full calendar month.
Ratings
Each value gets one of four ratings, based on two questions:
Is it tagged often? That means it got at least an even share of all your value tags that month. If you have five values, an even share is 20%.
Is it demonstrated? That means Bizy found it demonstrated in at least 30% of the recognition tagged with it.
Rating | What it means | What you might do |
Strong | Tagged often, and demonstrated in at least 30% of that recognition. | Keep it up. This value is alive in how people recognize each other. |
Inflated | Tagged often, but demonstrated in under 30% of that recognition. | The hashtag is a habit more than a behavior. Encourage people to say what someone actually did. A clear value description helps. |
Undervalued | Tagged less than an even share, but demonstrated in at least 30% when it is. | People live this value but forget to name it. Highlight it so it gets tagged more. |
Quiet | Tagged less than an even share, and demonstrated in under 30%. | This value isn't showing up. Consider a value award or a focused nudge to bring it to the surface. |
Why a value might not have a rating
A rating only appears once there's enough recognition to judge it fairly. A value won't show a rating yet if either of these is true for last month:
The value had fewer than 10 tags.
Your company had fewer than 100 value tags in total.
More activity gives a clearer, fairer read.
Turning insight into action
When the section spots an opportunity, it suggests one next step, such as:
Make values required — so every recognition connects back to what your company cares about.
Add value descriptions — so people tag values for the right reasons, and Bizy has more to work with.
Add custom values — if you're still on the default set.
Create a value award — to put a quiet value in front of your team.
Good to know
The data covers the previous full calendar month, so it's a monthly read, not a live feed.
Values are your company value hashtags, set in Company > Program settings.
Ratings can move month to month as behavior changes. That's the point: it's a mirror of your recognition culture over time.
