Bizy for Slack

Bizy for Slack

Bizy is Bonusly's AI assistant for proactive recognition and insights. It helps teams notice and celebrate great work as it happens, so a quick "nice job" becomes a specific, genuine thank-you your teammates remember. Bizy connects to Slack to understand recent work, surface recognition opportunities you might otherwise miss, and help you write meaningful recognition in seconds.

The problem Bizy solves

Great work happens every day, and most of it goes unrecognized because it is easy to miss and hard to find time to write about. Recognition is most effective when it is timely and specific, yet the details often live scattered across conversations. Bizy brings that context to you, spots moments worth celebrating, and drafts recognition grounded in what actually happened, so recognizing your teammates becomes a habit instead of an afterthought.

What you can do with Bizy in Slack

  • Receive proactive recognition suggestions based on real collaboration signals, delivered when they matter.

  • Ask Bizy questions in plain language, such as what a teammate has been working on lately or who has been especially helpful on a project.

  • Get ready-to-send recognition drafts that reference specific contributions, so appreciation feels personal.

  • Understand collaboration patterns that help managers and peers give fairer, more consistent recognition.

  • Send recognition, points, awards, and nominations through your existing Bonusly program.

How Bizy works in Slack

After a member connects Slack, Bizy uses Slack's Real-Time Search to understand recent work on that member's behalf. When you ask Bizy about a colleague's recent activity, Bizy searches the channels, direct messages, and group messages that you already have access to, reads the relevant context, and returns a clear, grounded summary along with a recognition draft you can edit and send.

Bizy also works quietly in the background. It observes patterns of collaboration over time, learns who works closely with whom, and surfaces recognition opportunities when it finds something genuinely worth celebrating. Bizy is deliberately conservative about interrupting you: it speaks up when there is a strong reason and stays quiet otherwise.

You stay in control at every step. Bizy suggests and drafts; you decide what to send.

Please note: Bizy's summaries and recognition drafts are AI-generated, so they may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review and edit anything Bizy drafts before you send it.

How Bizy uses your Slack data

When you connect Slack, Bizy reads workspace activity on your behalf to understand recent work and find recognition opportunities. Using Slack's Real-Time Search, Bizy can look across the public channels, private channels, direct messages, and group messages that you already have access to, and it can read message history, reactions, user profiles, and custom emoji to add context to recognition.

Bizy searches Slack as the signed-in user, so it can only ever see what that user is already permitted to see in Slack. Bizy does not post, edit, or delete anything in your Slack workspace, and it does not require a bot presence in your channels. Slack access is read-only for the purpose of understanding work and generating recognition.

Add Bizy to Slack

Bizy is part of Bonusly and is enabled by a Bonusly administrator. Once Bizy is available to your organization, each member connects their own Slack account in a few clicks:

  1. Sign in to Bonusly and open Bizy.

  2. Go to your Bizy connections or integrations settings.

  3. Select Connect Slack and approve the requested permissions through Slack's standard authorization flow.

Your Slack workspace administrator approves Bizy through Slack's normal app-approval process. Admins can review the requested permissions before approving and can revoke access at any time.

After you connect

Once Slack is connected, Bizy confirms the connection and is ready to help right away. From there you can:

  • Ask Bizy what a teammate has been working on, then send a recognition it drafts for you.

  • Watch for Bizy's proactive suggestions as it begins surfacing recognition opportunities from recent collaboration.

  • Adjust your preferences at any time, and disconnect Slack from Bizy whenever you choose.

Privacy, permissions, and security

Every member connects Slack individually through Slack's standard OAuth flow, and each connection is scoped to that member's own access. Workspace administrators approve Bizy through Slack's normal app-approval process and can review and revoke access at any time. Members can disconnect Slack from Bizy whenever they choose. Bizy is designed around your organization's existing Slack governance, so access always respects Slack's permission model.
