Most recognition is positive, but every now and then a post might not sit right with you. Bonusly gives you two separate ways to handle that, depending on what you need:
Hide from me. A private action that removes the post from your feed only.
Report to admins. Flags the post for your company's admins to review.
Both live in the post's options menu (the ••• button on the recognition post).
Hide from me
Use this when a post just isn't something you want to see. It doesn't break any rules. You'd simply rather it not be in your feed.
When you choose Hide from me, Bonusly asks you to confirm:
Hide this post from your feed? This recognition post will be hidden from your feed only — everyone else will still see it.
Hiding is private. No one is notified that you hid it, and the post stays visible for everyone else. Once you confirm, you'll see a short message that the post is hidden from your feed, and it disappears from your view.
There's nothing else you need to do, and no one finds out you took this action.
Report to admins
Use this when a post seems inappropriate, abusive, or otherwise against your team's norms, and you think an admin should look at it.
When you choose Report to admins, you'll be asked to explain why in your own words:
I'm reporting this because...
A short explanation is required so admins have the context they need. When you submit, two things happen:
The post is hidden for everyone immediately while an admin reviews it. You don't have to wait for the post to keep being visible. Reporting takes it out of the feed right away.
An admin is notified to review your report and decide what happens next.
You'll see a thank-you message confirming the report went through:
Thank you for speaking up This recognition post is now hidden for everyone. An admin will review your report and decide what happens next. There is nothing more you need to do.
After that, it's in your admins' hands. They can restore the post, remove just an attachment, keep it hidden, or delete it entirely depending on what they find.
