The Settings section of Bonusly allows you to edit and update your personal information and preferences with Bonusly. Availability of preferences is determined by your company's administrators. As Bonusly is a platform chosen and run by your company, it will be up to their discretion about what information you're allowed to access and edit.
Accessing the Profile Settings page
Profile Settings can be found under your avatar menu in the main navigation. Navigate to your profile preferences from the Basic Settings page in your Profile Settings
Basic Settings
It allows you to edit* basic information about you in Bonusly, including Preferred first name (What shows up on Bonusly), Last name, Email, Time zone, Country, Locale, and Avatar.
*If the field is not editable, it means that your company is using an integration for user management, and the information is being pulled from another program. If it is not editable, please contact a company admin about making any necessary changes.
Notification Settings
Select 'Manage Notifications' to choose which Bonusly alerts and reminders are sent to you. We strongly encourage, as a best practice, keeping all of your notifications in place, as reminders are strongly tied to healthy platform activity.
How the Notifications Page Works
Your notification settings are organized in a table format with notification types listed by category. Depending on your company's integrations, you may see columns for:
Email – Always available
Slack – Visible if your company has enabled the Slack integration
Microsoft Teams – Visible if your company has enabled the Microsoft Teams integration
Bulk Toggle
You can toggle all notifications in a category on or off by checking or unchecking the checkbox next to the category name. If some notifications in a category are enabled and others are disabled, the category checkbox will show an indeterminate state.
Be sure to click "Save changes" at the bottom of the page when you have your notification preferences as you want them.

Not getting emails even though your notification settings look right?
If you have notifications enabled but nothing is showing up, check your spam/junk folder and ask your IT team to allow emails from [email protected]. If your address previously hard-bounced (or was blocked/marked invalid), our email provider may have automatically suppressed it. In that case, contact your Bonusly admin (or support) and we can help restore delivery.
Note: We can’t override an unsubscribe or spam-report decision.

Celebrations
Celebrations allow you to see which Celebration recognition your company has enabled and display your birthday and anniversary dates.
If these awards are turned on for your company, you can opt out of receiving recognition for a birthday or anniversary by unchecking the boxes next to that type of award. Then click on the Save Preferences button at the bottom to save your changes.
When a user opts out, they will not receive any recognition or points on that day, and nothing will post to the home feed.
*If your birthday or anniversary date is incorrect, please contact a company admin to update the information for you. They can find material on how to edit your dates here.
FAQs
I want to edit my data/preferences under the Settings tab. Is that okay? Any changes to your settings page will need to be run by your company admin. Please confirm that your updates are appropriate based on your companies guidelines and policies.
I want to edit some data but don't seem to be able to. Why not? If your company is using an HRIS for user management (such as BambooHR, Zenefits, etc), then some information will not be editable for anyone inside of Bonusly. Any updates or changes that need to be made will have to happen within the HRIS system, and then updated within Bonusly. Please have your admin contact us if they have further questions about updating the information.
What is the preferred first name option? Your preferred first name will change how your name is displayed to your colleagues. This is useful if you prefer a nickname or shortening of your legal name. We'll use whatever you put here in place of the first name your admin set for you.
