Let’s walk through the main sections of the 1:1 feature and how you can use them to maximize your meetings.

1:1 Features

Weekly Recap

The Weekly Recap section pulls together recent recognition and feedback, organized by themes like project labels, to set the stage for meaningful discussions. This allows you to easily reflect on key moments from the past week that align with your current projects, personal growth, or areas of focus.

Use this section to recall key moments that can inform your conversation, such as projects you're working on, milestones you've hit, or feedback you want to act on.

Before You Meet

Got something on your mind this week? Write it down! This section lets you jot down thoughts, questions, or challenges before your meeting. Our agenda structure helps your conversation and make every 1:1 the most effective it can be. While we provide a framework of categories, topics can be modified to fit each role and relationship.

Simply hover over the right hand side of the section to add a new topic of discussion:

Or select the three dots beside a recurring question to prevent it from repeating or remove it entirely:

We automatically suggest areas for discussion you may want to request feedback on based on past feedback and recognized skills that might need coaching or development. Easily select any of these areas to highlight for coaching with your manager or add your own.

Real-Time Discussion

This section, paired with goal tracking, ensures your 1:1s are focused and forward-thinking. It helps you structure meetings, reflect on key takeaways, and align your actions with team and company objectives. Use this space during your meeting to guide both high-level discussions and smaller, actionable tasks.

Goals

Setting and tracking goals is crucial for making progress in one-on-one meetings. The Goals section allows both managers and direct reports to create and monitor goals while linking them to the recognition and feedback received. This connection helps make the goals - and the progress you make toward them - more visible and actionable.

You can add new goals during your 1:1 by clicking on the ‘Add Goal’ button. We automatically connect your Goals to relevant recognition and feedback you receive, so you can see the progress you’re making over time.

Take notes during each 1:1 to update your goals, evolutions in strategy, steps you’ve taken, etc. Once a goal is achieved, mark it as complete to track your accomplishments!

Takeaways

Think of this section as your action plan for the week! Takeaways help you jot down the key points from your meeting and the actionable steps you’ll take in the week ahead.
