Learn how to:

A recognition streak counts how many weeks in a row you've recognized someone. Recognize at least one person each week and your streak grows by one week. Skip a week and it starts over.

Your streak comes with a plant. Each week you keep your streak going, your plant grows, and over time you unlock new flowers and planter pots.

Streaks are personal. They count recognition you give, not recognition you receive.

A week runs from Monday through Sunday in your own time zone (from your Bonusly profile settings). To count a week, give at least one of these:

A comment with no points doesn't count toward your streak.

Recognizing more than once in a week doesn't add extra weeks. One recognition is all it takes to count the week, but feel free to keep going!

When does a streak end? If you recognized someone last week, your streak is still alive this week. You have until Sunday at 11:59 PM to recognize someone and keep it going. If the whole week goes by without a recognition, your current streak goes back to 0.

Your longest streak is saved forever, even if your current streak ends.

On the homepage, look for the plant button in the give box. Hover over it to see your streak:

Click the plant to open your streak panel. There you'll see:

On mobile, your streak shows at the top of the homepage as "[number] week streak." Tap it to open the streak panel.

The first recognition you give each week makes your plant grow, and you'll see it happen right after you send your recognition. If you recognize someone again later that week, you'll see your plant get watered.

As your streak gets longer, you'll unlock new flowers, starting with marigolds and working up to orchids. Keep going after that and you'll unlock new planter pots.

If your streak ends, your plant starts over from the beginning.

A Streak Revive brings back your longest streak. If you missed a week and lost a streak you'd been building, a revive sets your current streak back to your longest streak.

For example, if your longest streak was 12 weeks and you're now at 2, using a revive sets your current streak to 12.

Streak Revives aren't available at every company. If you don't see them, check with your company's Bonusly admin.

Streak Revives are a reward you redeem with your Bonusly points.

Each Streak Revive can be used once, and it doesn't expire, so you can redeem one now and save it for later.

Your current streak is set back to your longest streak right away. What happens next depends on whether you've already recognized someone this week:

If you just redeemed a Streak Revive and it can help your streak, the confirmation opens on its own so you can use it right away.

Does receiving recognition count toward my streak? No. Streaks only count recognition you give.

Do I need to give points to keep my streak? No. A recognition with zero points still counts. Only add-ons need points, because an add-on with no points is just a comment.

If I delete a recognition, do I lose that week? No. Once a week has counted toward your streak, deleting the recognition doesn't remove it.

When can I use a Streak Revive? Any time your current streak is lower than your longest streak. If you're already at your longest streak, you'll see "You're at your longest streak. Save your revive for later."

How many revives can I use? One per week. You can hold more than one and use them in later weeks.

Do Streak Revives cost points? Yes. Streak Revives are redeemed from your points like other rewards. The price is shown when you claim one.

I gave recognition on behalf of someone else. Whose streak does it count toward? The person you gave on behalf of, not you.

What if I don't see streaks on my homepage? Streaks can be turned off by your company's admins. You also won't see streaks if your account can't give recognition. If you're not sure, check with your company's Bonusly admin.
