There are two main components of Bonusly billing: subscription costs and reward costs.

How to pay for subscription and rewards costs

Subscription and rewards costs are paid with the payment method you have on file in your Billing Settings. Admins with global or finance permissions can add payment methods under the Payment Method section. There are also options to manage reward billing settings, contact information, billing address, and even review your subscription plan.

How subscription costs are determined

The cost for your subscription is determined by:

*Note: Your subscription is paid on an annual basis (annual plans get a discount!). There is a per-user premium for monthly subscription billing. If you need to switch to monthly subscription billing or want to learn more about enterprise and nonprofit pricing, contact us to chat about these options!

How rewards costs are determined

You only pay for rewards when employees redeem their Bonusly earnings (such as a gift card). You never pay for any unused monthly allowance budgets, and there are no markups on Bonusly rewards.

Your reward costs are determined by:

  • Monthly recognition allowances (we suggest starting with 100 points)

  • Giving rates (users typically give 60% of their monthly recognition allowances)

  • User redemptions

How subscription and rewards costs are billed

Subscription costs are billed annually starting on the first day of your service term. To account for new hires and employee turnover, we automatically credit and debit any user count adjustments to your account every month.

Rewards costs are billed at the end of the month and whenever total reward redemptions exceed $100.00. We offer two reward payment methods: postpay and prepay. Alternatively, you can set up prepay for your rewards to save a little money and simplify the process.

Here's how rewards get billed:

  1. Employees give each other recognition. Recognition earnings can be redeemed for rewards, such as gift cards and charitable donations.

  2. When the earnings are redeemed for a reward, a line item is added to your monthly invoice. For example, a line item for $5 would be added to your invoice if an employee redeems their points for a $5 gift card.

  3. You can prepay or postpay for rewards.

Billing history

Check out Billing Activity to track any invoiced activities, including subscription and reward payments. We've broken billing history into Recent Invoices and Reward Balance.

On the right side of any invoice, you can download a PDF version of your invoice and make credit card payments on any unpaid invoices. πŸŽ‰

❗️Note: All Bonusly invoices are billed in USD. Adjustments to billing currency are not available at this time.
